  7. LIR XLM is a high-level portable software module implementing the X.25 and
  8. X.3/X.21/X.21bis/X.28/X.29/X.32/X.213 CCITT recommendations and the ISO 7498,
  9. 7776, 8208, 8348, 8878, and 8881 standards. XLM is designed for manufacturers
  10. and OEMs who need to connect mainframe, minicomputers and microcomputers to
  11. packet switched data networks. XLM supports both public and private X.25
  12. networks, switched, and leased lines. It is fully CCITT 1984/88 and GOSIP
  13. conformant, implements the X.121 and OSI addressing schemes,and supports both
  14. Connection Oriented Network Services (CONS) and Connection Less Network
  15. Services (CLNS). XLM has been tested and certified on a large number of public
  16. data networks. LIR XLM is provided in source code form with documentation,
  17. portation guide, and test utilities.
